My Point of View
My biblical perspective on radio is something that I, personally, am still working through. Recently it has been a struggle to decide what radio looks like for the Christian, what it ought to look like, and whether that is true for every Christian in radio and how that differentiates from person to person. Are Christians called to be just in Christian radio in the traditional sense of the term? Or are ...

Tonight I had the tremendous privilege of being a guest on the MCR radio show “The Letter M”. This show explores various areas of entertainment like movies, songs, and literature and discusses the worldviews presented in them and how they relate to our lives as Christians. Not to give a shameless plug for an MCR show, but seriously, these guys are conquering and discussing a lot of the topics we have dealt with in class, ...

Led by self-proclaimed atheist, Ira Glass, This American Life, a Chicago Public Radio show that tells stories about a given subject on their weekly broadcast, tackles the Christian culture in an episode called “A Teenagers Guide to God.” Glass and other co-journalists follow a youth group from Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chicago on a missions trip to West Virginia. Oddly enough, the youth group leader is a Moody grad.

In America, repenting of sins and confessing the name of Jesus Christ does not always come with an expectation of the transformation of the mind and the supernatural process of becoming holy; it tends to come with the expectation of a transformation of cultural taste. Instead of celebrating the kingdom of heaven that she is to inherit and the reality of the Body of Christ that she has been grafted into, the new believer is ...

What Marshall McLuhan has to do with Jesus Christ
II Corinthians 4:7-10
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay,
to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

It can shape public opinion, create heroes, villains, and change elections. The media decides which voices are heard – or silenced, which issues ...

II Corinthians 3:3- “And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”
God intended for the Gospel to be communicated directly from person to person, that is, through relationship. The thread which is woven throughout the story of God’s redemption of His once perfect creation is relationship—is love. God ...

Stryper – Calling on You
Since we were talking about Stryper in class the other day and not everybody was familiar with them, I thought I would share this music video. I strongly encourage taking a look at their youtube page whether for laughs, a journey down memory lane, or just to see what who this band is. Stryper was hugely popular back in the day, and not only among Christians. In fact, they had several ...
